Becky is a wife and mother of 4 living in Oklahoma City for more than 15 years; she is originally from Portland, Oregon. She and her husband run a successful business that they have built over the last 15 years. They also run a Ranch in their spare time and love to travel, including a trip to Haj in 2010. Becky joined Surayya Anne OKC because she wanted to help others in the community. She feels like making a difference in other peoples lives is Surayya Anne is all about and she strives to do that everyday.
Erum has been serving on Surayya Anne OKC Board since the organization spread its wings back in February 2016. She is a busy mother of 2 boys, working as a Physician Contract Manager with a Medical Consulting company. Erum has a Masters degree in Economics with Marketing/Advertising as her key areas of interest. Oklahoma has been home for Erum for past 15 years and she loves the close-knit family like community that surrounds her. She is also a part of an interfaith group out of Oklahoma City.
Hooria joined Surayya Anne OKC as their offsite professional counselor and a board member in the fall of 2015, after graduating from UCO with her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology that year. She works at Affinity Counseling Agency in OKC and is a full time mother, wife and a photographer by hobby. This opportunity has been a privilege and a blessing. Working with Surayya Anne OKC has enabled Hooria to not only provide her skills and talents to those who need it but also explore possibilities for personal growth and she will forever remain thankful for it.
Asma is originally from Pakistan, where she received her medical degree and then finished postgraduate training the United States. She runs her practice as a board certified psychiatrist in Oklahoma. She is a mother of three, loves learning, travel and serving people. She is actively engaged with local Islamic center especially with activities related to women and youth and has spoken at various interfaith forums. She believes in SAF and its mission and feels honored to be a part of it.
Salma is originally from Lebanon, she moved to Oklahoma in 1999 and she has been calling Oklahoma home ever since. She graduated from Oklahoma City University in 2003 with a degree in Communication studies. Salma is currently a member of the Mercy Food Pantry. She belonged to several Oklahoma City University organizations in the past including President of the International Student Association, Member of the Islamic Student Association. She also volunteered with DHS to translate for Arab speaking residence whose second language is English.
Sobia Sikandar is originally from Pakistan and has been in the okc community for over 20 years. She is a stay at home mom with four children and is very active in the local community and mosques. She is a member of ICNA sisters and is a member of the Mercy School PTO.
Rassa Ajour earned her bachelor's degree in law and practiced law for three years. She also has worked part time as a pre-k teacher. She is passionate about serving her community and is very involved in her kids' school. Her family is the most important thing in her life.
Originally from Pakistan, Rabia recently moved to Oklahoma City in fall of 2017. Her background is in engineering and business administration. She wants to use her prior professional experience as a project manager to actively participate in Surayya Anne’s initiatives and make a positive impact on the community. She loves to travel, bake and her book club.
Summayah is currently a masters of accounting student at OU’s Price College of Business while sitting for the CPA exam. She is a certified cake decorator and loves to bake when she can find time, while being a new mother to a little baby girl. She is originally a native to Norman Oklahoma but has also lived in Louisiana and New York as well.
